Over the mountains, over the plains
Over the rivers, here come the trains.
Carrying passengers; Carrying mail,
Bringing their precious loads In without fail.
Thousands of freight cars All rushing on
Through day and darkness,
Through dusk and dawn.
Over the mountain,
over the rivers, here come the trains.
In this poem “Trains”, the poet explains the importance of the trains. It travels everywhere (mountains, plains, rivers etc. ) in the world. It carries everything including passengers, mails, loads etc. It moves everywhere and is not afraid of night or darkness. It only moves, moves and moves.
