  • Public Search
  • Enter First and Last Name
  • Look for education credential specific to VI
    • Not rehab
    • Not mild-moderate
    • Not an authorization in an associated area such as deafblind or autism
  • Interns must be supervised by a qualified TVI

What is the CVI Endorsement?

  • Training specific to using The Range for assessment
  • Does not address all areas of need related to the education of VI students
  • Does not replace a TVI’s full scope of expertise
  • Every TVI should be knowledgeable about how and when to use the Range as part of a comprehensive evaluation, in addition to other assessment tools
    • The TVI credential covers expertise in evaluation and instruction of students with ocular- and neurologically-based VI
    • A TVI credential is inclusive of training in using assessment tools such as The Range
    • A credentialed TVI does not need a CVI Endorsement to serve students with CVI
