Ski & Snowboard Team

Welcome to the 24/25 Ski & Snowboard team. This is the second year for the Inspire team and we’re excited to grow our team from last year. Our season starts in mid-November with pre-season workouts that will be on Mondays and Wednesdays after school. Being in good shape is critical to racing and our workouts continue through the season.

We have 7 training days at Boreal and we have 6-8 races at Boreal, Alpine and Northstar. Our first on hill trainings take place in late December and our first race is usually the first week of January with the last race toward the end of February. For those who qualify there is a statewide competition the first week of March. Training days are on the weekends and race days are on Mondays and Fridays. We miss quite a bit of school so being committed to keeping up academically is critical. Transportation to the hill is by carpool with parents so this is an activity that needs family participation to make it work.

You do not need to have any race experience to be on the team, but you do need to be a solid

intermediate skier/boarder who is comfortable on the mountain. We will provide lots of coaching during our training at Boreal and during our races.

We’ll have an information session in September to get more information out but in the meantime if you’d like to learn more feel free to reach out to coach Joe Kidd @ kiddjoe18@yahoo.com or look for MK Kidd on campus. If you are a parent interested in helping out please get in touch.
