  • In this domain the development of different skills related to practical activity is targeted for learning. The Psychomotor domain helps the learner to
    • Develop skills for the selection, procurement, arrangement and use of tools and materials for different forms of productive work.
    • Develop skills for the application of problem solving methods in productive work and social service situations.
    • Develop skills for greater productive efficiency.
    • Use his creative faculties for devising innovative
    • methods and materials.

  • The effective domain deals with “Attitude and Value”. The effective domain helps the learner to:-
    • Develop respect for manual work and regard for manual workers.
    • Inculcate socially desirable values such as self-reliance, helpfulness, cooperativeness, team-work, perseverance, tolerance, etc.
    • Develop proper work habits and values such as regularity, punctuality, discipline, honesty, efficiency, love of excellence and dedication to duty.
    • Develop self-esteem and confidence through achievements in productive work and services.

  • The Kendriya Vidyalayas are implementing the concept of work education in true and fruitful manner.
  • The Work Education is helping the children to develop themselves as self-supportive productive citizen.
  • Core areas of Work Education are taught by all teachers. Such as- food, health and hygiene etc are taught by the Science Teachers and Physical Health and Hygiene Teacher.

  • The elective area, Electricity and Electronics is taught by the specialized teachers, the TGT (Work Education).
  • The Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan had adopted a specified syllabus under elective area of work Education.

1.A Good turn diary of 30 days should be prepared by the learner to feel and develop a sense of responsible member of society.

2. Project preparation from waste or less useful items to develop awareness and skill about common tools and help the learner to explore his/ her creativity.

3. Arrange a Class level fate to share the real life situations, planning, participation, co-ordination, mutual respect and respect towards manual work.
