EECS 373: Introduction to Embedded System Design

The Idea and Implementation

  • Design a robot to paint ceilings
  • Our Implementation:
    • A lightweight, foam robot equipped with a high speed propeller, which exerts a push-force that cancels out gravity.
    • The robot wirelessly receives front-wheel motor and marker toggle commands via BLE from a base station controller.
    • The base station controller is a LCD display with a 4-wire resistive touchscreen.
    • The robot will operate under two modes: manual joystick mode and autonomous shape mode.
