The IB Diploma Programme

Six Subject Groups:

Higher Level (HL) & Standard Level (SL): Students choose subjects at different levels of depth and complexity.

​

Subject Requirements (1-7 Grading Scale):

  • Total Points: A minimum of 24 points over all subjects.
  • Subject Points: At least 12 points in HL subjects.

​

Core Requirements (must be completed satisfactorily):

  • Extended Essay (EE): In-depth 4,000-word research project, promoting independent research skills.
  • Theory of Knowledge (TOK): Explores nature of knowledge and its implications, developing critical thinking.
  • Creativity, Activity, Service (CAS): Engages students in experiential learning outside the classroom.
