June 2023-2024Monthly Data Snapshot

(data current through 5/31/24)

2 of 49

What is the purpose of the Monthly Data Snapshot? The Data Snapshot is a summary of key districtwide data, updated monthly, that central office leadership and staff members can use for decision-making. It is designed to ensure that everyone is looking at the same data for the same period of time, in a way that supports meeting the holistic needs of students.

What’s new this month?

  • The Philly School Experience Survey for 23-24 closes on 6/14. We have a slide here tracking participation for students, parents/guardians, and teachers at the beginning of June, but final tracker data will be available through live updates in Qlik.
  • Academic Screener data returns to the snapshot with this month’s edition, with Spring assessment cycle data. We’ve also changed how we display English Learner data for academic screeners, disaggregating students by EL Level, as well as providing a details table for that data.
  • Q3 course mark data is available in this snapshot.
  • Student attendance, climate, staff attendance, and dropouts through end of May are available in this snapshot. Additional visualizations for student attendance reflecting cumulative throughout the year data have been added.

Additional Data Notes

  • College and Career Readiness data continues to appear in the snapshot, to help schools understand the impact of data in Naviance on their performance on the Future Ready Index. Grades 5, 8, and 11 are the monitored years for state metrics.
  • We’ve removed Student Well-Being Survey data from the June snapshot, as the Spring window is currently open.
  • SY 2021-2022 and 2022-2023 are the comparison years for Attendance and Climate metrics.
  • October 1 enrollment data is available in this snapshot.
