Homemade Bread or Rolls

Ingredients:

1 cup warm water

2 packets instant yeast

2 TBSP (tablespoon) sugar

⅓ cup oil

2 tsp. (teaspoon) salt

1 egg

3 ½ cups flour

Directions: Preheat oven to 375 F.

  1. In a large bowl, mix warm water, yeast, and sugar.
  2. Let this stand for 3-5 minutes so the yeast can start to grow.
  3. While you wait, ask this question:

4. Mix in salt, egg, flour, and oil to make a soft dough.

5. OVEN: Grease the muffin pans. Let’s count the spaces. How many rolls can we make?

Mix the dough.

Put the bread rolls in the pans.

Bake.

Next, we’ll make the butter!

OVEN: Form dough into 12 balls and then place in a greased muffin pan and allow to rest for 10 minutes. Bake for 12 -15 minutes at 375 degrees or until golden brown and cooked through.

CROCKPOT: Line the crock pot with baking paper, put the dough in the pot, and cook on high for 90 minutes.
