Cowboy - Ride On

For Cowboy we had to come up with visual and verbal world for the launch of their latest model the Cowboy 4.
The film was done in cinematic black & white, bringing to life the transformative experience of riding an e-bike designed to snap out of autopilot and tune into the world around you. The photography represented that same feel but now with a supporting color to keep it vibrant. Ride on!
My role in this was being the lead creative, art director, copywriter and designer.

Logo (Lockup) Design
For the tagline we turned to one of the bike’s most visual features: the ‘dashboard’ lights. When the bike switches on there are five little light dots turning on inside a stretched oval, indicating the battery charge. It’s this oval that I used in the ‘o’ of the word ‘on’.

Carlsberg - Euros 2016

Still one of my favorites: the campaign we did for Carlsberg for the Euros already back in 2016. It was one of their famous series ‘If Carlsberg did…’-campaigns. Since the Euros were held in France we played with the idea and visual world French revolution and turned it a football themed one. We created a film and even a real renaissance painting that we’ve used for several comms.
Besides being the creative lead and art director on this campaign, I also designed all main props and sets for the film, scamped the painting and photographed all talent in the right pose to create models for the painter.

Design (and copy) of ‘Le Bar Ricade’, a bar located in a barricade. But also the nonexistent stadium behind it.
Design of the nonexistent stadium and as some countries don’t let their national flags used for a beer commercial we designed some of the flags, too.

This 16-feet wide painting was really created by artist Dominique Gaucher. The initial scamp was made by me and so was all photography for talent and posing reference.

Besides that the painting was used for traditional OOH’s, it was also served as contextual content on socials to address the match of that day.

Amsterdam Light Festival - Nachtloerrrders

This was a fun one.
Every winter several light sculptures illuminate the canals in Amsterdam for this festival appropriately called Amsterdam Light Festival. Each edition about twenty light art ideas will be chosen to be executed. And in 2019 my former colleagues - not me - had a great idea. The idea was that there were nocturnal animals lurking just outside Artis Zoo. They were hiding somewhere in the bushes where you could see their colourful eyes light up. We collaborated with 800 children to create 800 pairs of eyes. I had the pleasure to create the backstory of the creatures and a booklet that acted as manual for the children to come up with their fantasy creature, their eyes and a little intro to the coding application.

Creating a Booklet
Sorry, we switched off the lights but it’s only then when the Nachtloerrrders (Night Lurrrkers), as we named them, come out. This booklet was created so that children get a little backstory about the Nachtloerrrders, a bit of info about eyes, nocturnal animals, and some pages where they could already describe and sketch their own Nachtloerrrder and their eyes before they start coding.
The title/logo design, layout and art direction were done by me. The lovely illustrations by the talented KC Hong.

Like Meat - So Good, It’s Good

Design Work
Vegan brand Like Meat needed an all new platform for their delicious plant-based products. The strategy was focused on communicating the win-win nature of choosing food that tastes good while doing good.
That’s where ‘So Good It’s Good’ was born, promoting Like Meat as the indulgent vegan brand that’s all pleasure and no guilt.
We launched the platform with a suite of key images shot by Bon Appetit favourite Alex Lau in New York.

There are so many people that leave their stuff in Ubers. Especially when they go to and from festivals. So when Uber Sweden wanted to create more buzz around their ‘find lost item’ function in the app, we hooked up with Way Out West festival in Göteborg. We created the #leftinanuber campaign where I designed comms of lost items and even created a lost & found (in Ubers) on site.

Candy Crush - The Crush Is Real

Design Work
The futile mobile game Candy Crush is huge. As in really huge. 300 million people in the world play it every month. And if they don’t play it, they talk about it. People just really love it. That’s how we came up with the campaign: ‘The Crush Is Real’ based on the things people say about the game on socials. To keep the visual language as real as possible we created a series of five documentary style films that were just straight-up observations of humanity. Also in the graphics, we wanted to make the candy crush as real as possible, too. We ended up with a straightforward and colourful campaign, that made us really proud.

Smirnoff wanted to be more present during festival season with their ‘We’re Open’ campaign. So me, a photographer, a legal person and another designer went to a festival to shoot some revelers, make them sign the quit claims, and created some fun comms for the German and UK market.

Since I was young I have been making t-shirts. So when I wanted to make one piece of merch for my studio it was clear what that was going to be. Just a responsible white shirt with a small white logo on the chest and on the back a very big one for the client.
