HOW TO WRITE AN ARTICLE?

  • Words counting should not be less than word limit.
  • First of all start with the introduction of topic, what is topic ?
  • For example- Write an article on Article 12 of constitution of India with regard to defination of state.
  • INTRODUCTION- Define Article 12 with regard to state.
  • ORIGIN- from where article 12 was originated, like history

Example- Present Article 12 was introduced in the Draft Constitution as Article 7. While initiating a debate on this in the Constituent Assembly, Dr B.R. Ambedkar described the scope of this Article as the reason why this Article was placed in the Chapter on fundamental rights of the Constitution. (describe this)

  • Define it with headings and sub headings, now define the topic with relevant case laws and legal maxims (if any) to support your article more.
  • Define all contexts of that topic for example in this topic- one need to define

  • First make the rough structure of the article about what to add in the article, with name of case laws, introduction and conclusion. So that when u write an article, u will not miss anything and article will be in correct form.

Case brief

  • First of all read first 1,2,3 paragraphs, paragraphs before the argument started by the Appellant and Respondent Advocates. From this u will get to know about the facts of the case. Then write them in points and easy language. then write arguments.
  • Then read the last paragraphs of the judgement (in which the judge statements are stated) to know about that what is held in the case.
  • Ratio- Read the last part of the judgement what is held in the judgement and then see the statements laid down by the judge ,arguments by the advocates, what is not contradicting with the held is ratio.

  • TITLE- it should be clear, very clear, title should be in min. Words and clear, about what the case is, free from ambiguity. This is what is held in judgement.
  • ISSUE
  • Held- appeal allowed or disposed off.
