Poster Session: PLEASE COME

Please learn about AI/ML applications/ideas, get ready for unconference tomorrow

Please go engage with every presenter, understand all posters.

Two poster sessions (1.5h + 2h = 210min) presenting about 25 posters.

Even if you fully engage, that’s 8 minutes / poster!

To motivate ourselves…

For today, we got high quality booze, all high standard Sake produced in Aichi!

• 5 types 13 bottles = about 10L
• … and separately beers as well
• Released at 6PM after 1.5 hour into the poster session with light snacs

Poster Awards!

• Poster presenters! You should have received a “Meidai” (Nagoya Uni.) postcard.
• How to win awards: collect stickers = “votes” from attendants on your postcard.
• Every attendant has 10 votes to cast: 5 colors, 2 stickers per color.

White = Insightful … You got new research ideas/interest/inspiration from the poster

Red = Visual … The poster has the most awesome graphics in your view

Yellow = Accessible … Great details have been presented in a very understandable manner

Blue = Interdisciplinary … A research that does a great job making impact in multiple domains.

Green = Best oral … A presenter who did a great job in verbally presenting their poster.

Two ways to vote:

• Put a sticker on the subject presenter’s postcard during the poster session.
• Put a sticker on a piece of paper, write the poster number, and vote in a box.
• At the registration desk, we provide a memory card as a piece of paper.
• The box to cast your vote this way is at the registration desk.

Poster Awards!

Two types of awards:

• Monetary award:
• For each color, top 4 presenters with the most votes in this color.
• If you get in, you receive 2,000 JPY per color.
• If you are top 4 in two colors, you get 4,000 JPY.
• Item award:
• The top 3 people who win the most number of stickers (no color distinction)
