The Central Problem in Spiritual Search

“We need to go within because that’s where we are going to find ourselves.”

Roberta

How do we find what is inside?

Make the body and the world disappear.

  1. No light
  2. No sound
  3. Water heated to skin temperature
  4. 1000 pounds of epsom salt -
    1. Muscle relaxation
    2. FLOATING free from gravity
      1. Muscle/sense effort
      2. Near-death OBE

All this creates a situation where the mind is aware without having to be aware of anything - this may be the PRIMORDIAL state of the world:

“Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters.” - Genesis 1:2

The Isolation Tank reduces body and world awareness with no effort!

Also known as the Sensory deprivation tank or Floatation tank

“(In 1954) I sought answers to the question of what happens to a brain … in the … absence of physical stimulation.”

-- John Lilly “The Quiet Center”, Ch. 15

He was told not to do it because he would die if he cut off inputs to the brain.

Now, that we know about isolation tanks, let’s talk about Gnosis

Gnosis is using the self to find THE SELF as opposed to using a church or group.”

(5/11/2011)

2922 NW 65th Way Margate, FL

Built the Black Beauty DIY Tank.

Floated on my birthday for 5 hours

I started the float with my feet facing the exit door. I regained consciousness 5 hours later floating 180 degrees inverted.

Physically impossible: the tank is 5 feet wide.

Central Principle of Isolation Tank Gnosis:

Isolation is Truth. Group is Reality. Truth > Reality

  • Suffering stomach pain. Couldn’t move
  • Huge gale caught his sails and he couldnt lower them.
  • “The Pilot” appeared and did not lower the sails but said we need to keep going
  • Joshua Slocum lost consciousness
  • Next morning, his boat had covered 93 miles on true course “Sailing Itself”
