  • Plastic bags do not biodegrade, they will remain in the soil.
  • Average use of a plastic bag is 20 minutes. But it takes up to 1000 years to decay.
  • Average usage of each Indian is 2 bags per day
  • The plastic waste generated in each city like Bangalore, Hyderabad and Chennai etc. is approximately 200 to 250 Tons PER DAY. 
  • Packaging now accounts for 1/3 of all household waste.
