One October in Tankville, our Tuesday after school Oyster Club seems to be encountering a series of unfortunate events. The first week, their water chemistry results seem normal - their salinity is perfect for a brackish water tank and the temperature is a cool 66°F with all of their other parameters hovering at suitable amounts.

The second week, they realize that their turtle tank heater has accidentally been put on top of their oyster tank, raising the temperature to 75°F! They start a water change, but there is a fire drill before they can put it in the tank, and when one student returns to finish the next day, they realize that their teacher had accidentally put the bucket of water in the fridge! They finish the water change, but now the tank is only 52°F.

The oyster club is hopeful that things will finally get back to normal, but Tankville hits a cold snap so the radiators in their classroom turn on, bringing the tank temperature back up to 72°F. They figure out a method for keeping the tank cool by rotating frozen water bottles in over the course of the week, and finally by the last week of October, things finally seem to be stabilizing and the tank is back to 66°F. The oyster club lets out a big sigh of relief, for their oysters are all still alive!
