  • It will be aligned to the AP Lang Free-Response Question #3 (Argument Essay)
  • Our job today is to figure out what components are needed to make a proficient essay

Example Article

  • You will have 10 minutes to read the article
  • Be thinking about how the writers present their argument
    • How do they structure the essay?
    • What strategies do they use to persuade the reader?

  • This is a SILENT activity
  • On the poster, write down what you noticed about the structure and strategies the authors used
    • You may draw arrows, underline parts of the article, star other people’s responses, etc.
