What are we doing?

During the week of April 22-29, we will celebrate Earth Day with a SHOWER STRIKE to conserve water and raise funds for a small community in Mbalalwala, Tanzania that needs their water well fixed.

1. Pledge to NOT SHOWER or to do the BUCKET CHALLENGE (only use the amount of water that you can carry in a bucket - 5 gallons or less)
2. Ask for a donation
3. Meet our goal of $5 per student ($3250)

How will we do it?

The Shower Strike!

Collect points during the shower strike challenge - keep track of your points

• Colored Paper located in your shower strike packet
• Turn in to Den Teacher at end of strike
• Earn House Points
• The House Winner gets a Kona Ice Party with Mighty Fine giftcards for ALL House Members!

4 minutes and 22 seconds!

Then dump it into the bathtub. Or fill bath for just 4:22 seconds

​

Or a modified bucket bath...

If you take a shower, keep it to only 4:22 minutes or less.

(A typical shower uses 17+ gallons!)

How do I donate?

We hope that each student is able to raise $5 for our fundraiser.

There are several ways you may donate:

• Cash - give your donation to your DEN TEACHER, and he/she will record your donation.
• Check - same donation process as cash (make the check out to your school (Grisham MS - write Shower Strike in the memo).
