Deployment Models

  • Public cloud: This computing infrastructure is hosted at the vendor’s workplace. The end user cannot view the infrastructure. The computing infrastructure is shared between companies.
  • Private cloud: The computing infrastructure is dedicated to the customer and is not shared with any other companies. They are costly and highly secure than public clouds.
  • Community cloud: The cloud infrastructure is shared between the companies of the same community.

A Strategy for Hybrid Cloud Success

  • Choose a single framework—a “cloud operating system”
  • Modernize your on-premises environments in accordance with that framework.
  • Choose only public clouds and CSPs compatible with that framework.

Cloud Strategy Planning

  • Analyze Solution Architecture
  • Select Systems to be Moved to the Cloud
  • Select Cloud Usage Models;
  • Select Cloud Deployment Model;
  • Select Cloud Platforms
  • Implement a Deployment Automation Process
  • Implement a POC
  • Refine POC and Implement the Cloud Platform
