• They are called Shatrunjay’s Adhishtayak Dev and Devi.
• They helps all the worshippers to climb the mountain.
• Guru Bhagwants says dharmalaabh to them and we have to say pranaam to them.
• Kavadyaksh’s second name is kapardi yaksh.
• In previous birth he had taken an oath that everyday he will eat or drink anything only after untying a knot.

• Once this knot did not untie. Even though, he did not break his oath and followed it.
• He kept chanting Shatrunjay’s name and died eventually. Thus in the next birth, he became Adhishthayak Dev Kavad yaksh.
• Before starting jatra, one must go and pray to chakeshvari devi and Kavad Yaksh to help us complete our jatra without any problem.

PIC -4 : Punya paap ni baari

• Paatan’s seth Pralapdaas did upvaas for three days twice a year. From paatan he came to Shatrunjay on camel. He ate food only after doing Shantrunjay’s jatra.
• Once it was a hot summer afternoon. Seth, camel and the camel rider were thirsty but they didn’t consume water.
• They reached Taleti and died immediately after touching Taleti. This statue is made in memory of them.
• It’s believed that whoever get’s successful in passing through camel’s legs is punyashaali and one who gets trapped is paapi.

• Surya and Chandra landed their vehicles here.
• Prince Chand cursed by his step mother and turned into a cock.
• Once he came into this kund for bathing and all his curses got destroyed and he turned back into prince.

• Once there was a tigeress who used to kill worshippers who were climbing Shatrunjay.
• Veer Vikram singh fought with this tigress and killed her.
• During this fight, he too died.
• Thus, in his memory this stone sitting (paliyo) is made here.

• In Dada’s toonk, there is a divine tree named Raayan vruksh.
• It is divine thus it will never get destroyed.
• It is said that raayan’s branches, leaves, milk etc. is holy and magical.
• There are footprints of Adinath bhagwaan just under the tree.
• We have to give 3 pradakshina of this tree. Shatrunjay’s 3^rd chaityavandan is done here.

• It is believed that they protect Adinath bhagwan.
• They stand with sword in their hand so that no wild animals kills bhagwaan.
• Indra maharaj was so impressesd by their dedication that he gave them knowledge and towns.
• Then Nami- Vinami took diksha and came to shatrunjay.
• They did one month of fast (Anshan) and on faagan sud 10 he attained moksh along with 2 crore saints.

• This is temple with four idols.
• Shraavak named Ramji from Gandhar made this temple.
• He took chari paalit sangh with guru maharaj saaheb.

• Aadinath bhagwan’s son was Bharat and Bharat’s son was rushabhsen.
• He took diksha from Aadinath bhagwan.
• His name after diksha was pundrik gandhar.
• On the day of Chaitri sud poonam, he took Anshan for one month along with 5 crore saints and went to moksh from Shatrunjay.
• 4^th chaityavandan is done here.
• On doing pooja on chaitri poonam, 150 times more punya is gained.
