My centimeter ruler is lined up. Now I am going to count the hops to measure the length of Amy’s crayon.

This time my centimeter ruler is lined up starting at the 1 centimeter line. I am going to count the hops to measure the length of Chan’s crayon. Chan’s crayon is 9 centimeters long. The crayon gets to the 10 centimeters line, but I did not start with the end of the crayon on the 0, it was lined up at the 1.
