Index of Territorial Disparity IDT: Understanding territorial inequalities to better control development.

The ITD expresses the degree of fragility of a territory and reflects the disparities that exist between different territorial entities by ranking them in order of disadvantage among a group of socio-spatial entities;

To evaluate territorial disparities, this index strongly emphasizes the combination of different indicators, grouped on the basis of a typology reflecting several aspects centered on two dimensions:

Territorial resources or the spatial-environmental dimension: 11 indicators;

Household resources or the socio-economic dimension: 14 indicators.

IDT: Index of Territorial Disparity

Goals

  • It makes it possible to better target interventions and to ensure arbitration along the process of programming projects or actions.
  • A way to monitor the effectiveness and impact of the actions undertaken and the projects carried out in the territories.
  • Adaptation of actions to the socio-economic realities of the population and the potential of the territories
  • Integrate the different dimensions in decision making, including the gender approach:
  • Ratio of women to men
  • Women 15-45 years old
  • Children < 14 years
  • Elderly > 60 years old
  • People with special needs
  • To take into consideration the excluded public (integration of proximity to facilities and infrastructures and access to the amenities of life) in the implementation of social actions.

APPLICATION LUTCOVID19

19 of 22

GENERAL CONTEXT OF THE LUTCOVID19 APPLICATION

  • The LutCovid19 application, a geolocation and remote medical monitoring platform, was developed in collaboration with the provincial health department and the health monitoring commission in order to identify contacts/suspect persons affected by the disease and to monitor their health status remotely on a daily basis in order to provide adequate treatment to those declared positive and to identify and limit the possible contamination of other citizens.

20 of 22

CLINICAL FOLLOW-UP OF SUSPECTED CASES AND THEIR CONTACTS

The application allows clinical monitoring of suspected cases and their contacts either at the hospital or online in case of home confinement. For this, the application considers two types of users:

1- a citizen account that allows to inform the temperature and the symptoms during the 14 days of

days of confinement

2- a doctor's account that allows to:

follow the health status of each case. This status contains a temperature curve and other symptoms to be filled in during the 14 days of confinement.

Diagnose the case according to the information collected:

The type of case (infirm, confirmed, cured, deceased) following a sample to be filled in on the same page.

The date of confirmation of this new status.

The place of confinement (Saidia Hospital, at home .....)

Doctor's advice: advice or recommendations to the patient which will be transmitted to him/her in the form of notifications on his/her page.

21 of 22

ADD SUSPECTS, THEIR CONTACTS AND THEIR GEO-LOCATION.

  • The geographical map integrated in the solution represents the different cases of covid19 which are displayed in different colors:

- Orange dots: suspected cases

- Yellow dots: contacts of a suspect

- Red dots: confirmed cases

- Green dots : invalidated cases

- Blue dots : cured cases

- Black dots: deceased cases

THE PILOTING AND MONITORING OF THE EVOLUTION (WORSENING OR IMPROVEMENT) OF THE PANDEMIC SITUATION THROUGH INTERACTIVE DASHBOARDS AND IN REAL TIME MADE AVAILABLE TO DECISION MAKERS. PART OF THIS INFORMATION HAS BEEN PUBLISHED ON THE OFFICIAL PORTAL OF THE PROVINCE OF BERKANE TO ALLOW THE LOCAL POPULATION TO FOLLOW THE EVOLUTION OF THE COVID19 PANDEMIC SITUATION IN THE TERRITORY.

  • Example of alerts:
  • Sampling pending results: contains the list of suspected cases that have been sampled and are awaiting results with the possibility to enter them as soon as they appear.
  • Contact who did not continue their follow-up on the application: a list of suspects including cases who did not regularly enter their symptoms during the containment period.
  • Normal cases after 14 days: a list of cases having respected the conditions of confinement in term of delay without showing any sign of contamination.
  • a graph showing the balance of Covid19 cases in the province of Berkane: a curve showing the evolution of Covid19 cases with the total per day during the pandemic
  • Arborescence: means a cascade view of the lists of confirmed cases and their contacts.
  • By clicking on a confirmed case, we will have the list of suspects who have been in contact with this subject, then the contacts of this same suspect and so on.
