Welcome!

Today students will complete a 11th or 12th grade Course Selection Form

You will be registering for next year’s classes

Example: 10th graders will register for 11th grade

11th graders will register for 12th grade

SENIORS will not be registering for any classes :)

Registration Instructions

Step 1:

Please complete the top part of you Course Selection sheet.

Last name, First name, Student ID # & student phone # (optional)..

Registration Steps

If you haven't already, review elective options and circle or highlight the electives you are interested in on your form.

Please consider & check the course guide:

• What are the prerequisites? Do you meet the prerequisites?
• Is it a year-long or semester class?

For year long classes: You will select BOTH courses for 1st and 2nd semester for the year long course.

How many electives do I choose?

Choose enough to fill 7 periods for each semester.

What if I am a Warren Tech Student next year?

If you have accepted a position at Warren Tech next year you will:

• Receive A.M/P.M. information in mid February (any day!)
• When entering courses you will only enter the 3 courses you will be taking at Bear Creek into Infinite Campus.
• Warren Tech will not be available for you to choose. Counselors will add that in when you meet with them.

Free Periods

Current 10th graders are encouraged to pick 1 free period if you are on track with credits.

Current 11th graders can choose 1 or 2 free periods if you are on track with credits.

To select a specific free period, use the specific codes below. If you don’t care when your free period is, use the code ending in 88 to request a free period for the year.

Infinite Campus Instructions

Pull out computers. Get to Infinite Campus.

1. Select Student on the left hand side
2. On the left side, select “More,”
3. Select “Course Registration”
4. Click on pop up box “26-27 Bear Creek 8-12”
5. Look at the classes your teacher added for you and then STOP.

Do not start adding classes, just hang tight and wait for further instructions.

• Then you haven’t been registered with Bear Creek HS for next year.

***If you feel this is a mistake, please see your counselor.

If you are correctly enrolled in a different high school, you will be invited to do course selection at your new school.

Please note: You can still fill out and turn in a course selection sheet - you just won’t be able to enter course selections into the computer.

• If a teacher selected a course for you and you have decided not to take that course - cross it out and circle/highlight a different option.
• If you want an Honors or AP course instead, obtain the appropriate teacher signature (your current core teacher) and bring it with your meeting with your counselor.

Elective Class Selection In IC

Enter elective choices from your course selection form to Infinite Campus.

Click Add Course and start typing the course number or name in the search box. If you can’t find the course, let us know.

IMPORTANT: Is the class a SEMESTER or YEAR-LONG?

YEAR LONG - enter BOTH semester course numbers

SEMESTER - enter just 1 course number

Use the back button to start again and add another class

DON’T FORGET TO ADD YOUR ALTERNATES!

• If you don’t give us back-ups and there is a conflict,

we get to choose the class you take instead.

• To avoid being stuck in a class you don’t want, choose plenty of alternates!

Have you done the following?

• Read the front and back of the registration form
• Filled out my registration form completely
• Entered all of my choices from registration form into Infinite Campus as requests or alternates
• There is no “save” button. Just log off. It is automatically saved.

NEXT STEPS:

• Get all necessary signatures before meeting with your counselor.
• Save your registration form in a safe place.
• Bring the registration form to your meeting with your counselor in the upcoming weeks. Your counselor will check your entries and collect your form.
• 10th Grade - 2/25 & 2/26 during Social Studies class
• 11th Grade - 3/4 & 3/5 during English class
