The fish and the piece of money
و لما جاءوا الى كفرناحوم تقدم الذين ياخذون الدرهمين الى بطرس و قالوا اما يوفي معلمكم الدرهمين. قال بلى فلما دخل البيت سبقه يسوع قائلا ماذا تظن يا سمعان ممن ياخذ ملوك الارض الجباية او الجزية امن بنيهم ام من الاجانب. When they had come to Capernaum, those who received the [temple] tax came to Peter and said, "Does your Teacher not pay the [temple] tax?". He said, "Yes" And when he had come into the house, Jesus anticipated him, saying, "What do you think, Simon? From whom do the kings of the earth take customs or taxes, from their sons or from strangers?"
قال له بطرس من الاجانب قال له يسوع فاذا البنون احرار. و لكن لئلا نعثرهم اذهب الى البحر و الق صنارة و السمكة التي تطلع اولا خذها و متى فتحت فاها تجد استارا فخذه و اعطهم عني و عنك. (مت 17 : 24 - 27)
Peter said to Him, "From strangers" Jesus said to him, "Then the sons are free. "Nevertheless, lest we offend them, go to the sea, cast in a hook, and take the fish that comes up first. And when you have opened its mouth, you will find a piece of money; take that and give it to them for Me and you“ (Mat 17 : 24 – 27)
الحلول الأخرى
The other solutions
نرفض دفع الدرهمين .. ده حقنا
Refusing to pay the two dirhams .. This is our right
نماطل في الدفع بضمير مرتاح .. لأنه حقنا
Procrastinate in paying with a clear conscience .. because it is our right
نضطرب وننزعج من الطلب .. وممكن نستلف
Getting confused and upset by the request.. and possibility of borrowing
البنون أحرار
The sons are free
قال بلى فلما دخل البيت سبقه يسوع قائلا ماذا تظن يا سمعان ممن ياخذ ملوك الارض الجباية او الجزية امن بنيهم ام من الاجانب. قال له بطرس من الاجانب قال له يسوع فاذا البنون احرار. (مت 17 : 25 ، 26)
He said, "Yes" And when he had come into the house, Jesus anticipated him, saying, "What do you think, Simon? From whom do the kings of the earth take customs or taxes, from their sons or from strangers?". Peter said to Him, "From strangers" Jesus said to him, "Then the sons are free. (Mat 17 : 25 , 26)
لماذا سبق المسيح وسأل السؤال؟؟
Why did Jesus Christ anticipated asking the question??
من الحكمة أن يفهم الإنسان الأمور
It is wise to understand things
يشترك بطرس في التفكير والحل
Peter shares in thinking and finding a solution
خجل بطرس من أن يصارح المسيح بالطلب؟!
Peter was ashamed of being frank with Christ?!
لئلا نعثرهم
lest we offend them
و لكن لئلا نعثرهم اذهب الى البحر و الق صنارة و السمكة التي تطلع اولا خذها و متى فتحت فاها تجد استارا فخذه و اعطهم عني و عنك. (مت 17 : 27)
"Nevertheless, lest we offend them, go to the sea, cast in a hook, and take the fish that comes up first. And when you have opened its mouth, you will find a piece of money; take that and give it to them for Me and you“ (Mat 17 : 27)
قد يظنوا أن المسيح وبطرس متهربين
They might think that our Lord Christ and Peter
wanted to get away without paying
قد يشاع عنهم أنهم غير أمناء
There might come out a rumor that they are dishonest
قد يكون توضيح هذا الأمر علناً يفتح صراع غير مطلوب
Clarifying this matter publicly could start a useless conflict
السمكة والإستار
The fish and the piece of money
إن كان الأمر يحتاج إلى فلوس .. ما أسهل تدبيرها
If the whole issue is about money, then it is the easiest issue to be arranged
لا تحتاج لإدخار .. للمفاجأت .. هناك البحر والصنارة
You don't need to save money .. for surprises ..
there is the sea and the rod
رسالتنا أكبر من أن ننشغل بقضايا فرعية
Our message is more than just being preoccupied with sub-issues
حلول غير متوقعة
Unexpected solutions
يعقوب سكت على الظلم .. وربنا عوضه بالخراف المرقطة
Jacob remained silent over injustice.. and God compensated him with spotted sheep
يوسف سكت على الظلم .. وربنا عوضه بحلم فرعون / حياة الوزير
Youssef was silent about injustice.. God compensated him
with the dream of Pharaoh / the life of the minister
إيليا سكت على النهر الجاف .. وربنا عوضه بإقامة أموات
Elijah was silent on the dry river .. and God compensated him by raising the dead
صدق
Believe
فيه سمكة هاتبلع إستار علشان خاطرك
A fish will swallow a piece of money just for your sake
فيه شجرة هاترميها في (مارة) هاتبقى عذبة
A tree that you will throw in (Marah) and it will become sweet
فيه ليلة هايطير النوم من عين الملك علشان يشوف الحقيقة
A night when sleep will fly from the king's eye to see the truth
فيه طفلة عند رئيس الجيش .. هاتمنع الحرب بإيمانها
A child at the house of the head of the army..
She will prevent war by her faith
ربنا هايجيب الفلوس على الأد
God will bring the money that is exactly enough
مش لازم تحوش .. لكن لازم هاتعدي
You don't have to save money .. as it must pass
لا عوزنا ولا حوزنا (لم نحتاج ولم نخزن)
We didn't feel the need and didn't stock up
بل بحسب المساواة لكي تكون في هذا الوقت فضالتكم لاعوازهم كي تصير فضالتهم لاعوازكم حتى تحصل المساواة. (2كو 8 : 14)
but by an equality, [that] now at this time your abundance [may supply] their lack, that their abundance also may supply your lack -- that there may be equality (2Co 8 : 14)
لا تضطرب قلوبكم
Don't let your hearts be troubled
المشاكل هاتخلص ... وبسهولة
Problems will be solved ... easily
ولو إتعقدت تبقى مفيدة أوي
And if it gets complicated, it will be very useful
ولو طولت تبقى ضرورية لخلاصنا
Even if it lasts for a long time, it remains necessary for our salvation
ولو كترت تبقى فرصة أكبر للتمتع بيد الله
And if it increases, it remains a greater opportunity to enjoy the hand of God
