THINK ABOUT WHAT CREATES PASSION WITHIN YOU

If you are passionate about your work:

    • It will feel less like a job and more like fun.
    • It will help you connect with others in your field who share the same passion.

When you are passionate about something:

    • You look forward to doing it.
    • It brings feelings of satisfaction and joy.
    • It can also help you overcome challenges.

WHY IS HAVING PASSION IMPORTANT?

Discuss the following questions as a class.

Have you ever listened to someone talk about something they are passionate about?

THINK ABOUT WHAT CREATES PASSION WITHIN YOU

Identify topics you are passionate about. It doesn’t matter what the topic is; what matters is that you fully understand the subject and can convey it to others with passion.

Here is a list of topics to help you brainstorm what you are passionate about. However, feel free to ignore the list and choose anything that genuinely excites you.

Once you have chosen your topic, create an outline of the things you like about your choice.

What makes it awesome to you?

You will use these talking points to help you create an “elevator pitch” later in the lesson.

THINK ABOUT ELEVATOR PITCHES

An elevator pitch is a brief description of an idea, product, or company that explains the concept clearly and concisely so that any listener can understand it in a short amount of time.

The goal is to capture the listener's interest, making them want to learn more about what you're discussing. This is why elevator pitches need to be delivered with passion.
