Conclusion

The results show that the group of aviation mechanics currently in the industry isn’t enough.

The general amount of these mechanics are closer to retirement and mainly male.

Graph - Current

According to the Aviation Technician Education Council (ATEC), there is a large shortage of aircraft mechanics, especially after the pandemic.

The percentage of mechanics coming into the field isn’t enough to make up for the large amount retiring.

Currently 42,972 mechanics in the aviation industry.

Average age of 40, making up 49% of aviation mechanics.

Considering how there is shortage of aviation mechanics, the demand is high and an increase of these mechanics will benefit in the safety and stability of aircrafts.

Ideas for the title:

Example:

Investigating the effects of (something) on (someone) in (somewhere)

Investigating(?) the rate (importance) of Aircraft Mechanics within the Aviation Industry (mechanics + what they do + demographics of amt of mechanics and the need for more)

Investigating(?) the (dire) need for aircraft mechanics in the aviation industry

Investigating(?) the increased (growing) need for mechanics in the aviation industry

Hypothesis draft:

Examples:

Considering (some factor), the increase or decrease of (something) is expected to cause the increase of decrease of (something else)

Copy the slide if you need more than one.

Considering how important safety is regarding aircraft, the increase of aviation mechanics is expected to decrease the risk of an accident of an aircraft.

Considering how there is shortage of aviation mechanics, the demand is high and an increase of these mechanics will benefit in the safety and stability of aircrafts.

Results

Tables figures graphs, make your own.

  • If something isn’t done (if there aren’t enough aircraft mechanics replacing those who have retired), then the shortage will get worse and may end up delaying(?) the service of aircrafts and airlines, private or public.

Discussion

Talk about what the results mean. Analyze the graphs you made. Does it support your hypothesis? It’s ok if it does not

Conclusion

Was your hypothesis proven true or false? Why or why not. Quote actual figures or percentages if you can

Copy the slide if you need more than one.

  • Hypothesis was proven true.
  • Many article, especially government sites, state the demographics on aircraft mechanics.
  • These percentages are getting smaller since there isn’t enough mechanics in the industry.
  • Due to this, the wages for this profession are rising, in hopes that there would be more interest.
