Course Syllabus

Promoting recognition and respect for cultural diversity within the classroom, a critical conscience will be developed, forming leaders who respond to the needs of the moment on local, regional, national and international events.

Over the course of the year students will be able to understand various global issues and topics which will be related to current real life situations. The course focuses on two main approaches: a team project, and individual research.

They also learn to work with data sets and to use the tools to gather reliable. Learners apply understanding of global issues topics to current events.

Team project based on a global issues.

  • Research an specific global issue for a team project.

  • Reflect about the global issue perspectives and personal learning process.

  • Present the team project's outcome about the selected global issue.

Semester 2

Individual report based on a global issue.

  • Research a topic of personal significance involved in global issues.

  • Reflect about the global issue perspectives and personal learning process.

  • Deliver the individual report about the selected global issue.
