  • First, most chargers take longer than a quick break to add much charge.  That issue is solved for her campground because of overnight charging--great idea. 
  • Second, because of the wide variety of charger connections, etc., it seems likely that bikers may need to carry their own charging transformer with them.  Then they plug that into a conventional outlet, but there's a little bit of a cargo penalty to carry around a charger that might be half the size and weight of a small brick. 
  • I wonder if Europe has some better standards for bike charging that would help here?  But also, if you carry your own charger, clever bikers can usually find a lot of places to plug in (park picnic shelters, restaurants where you remove your battery and carry it in with you, etc.).
  • My e-bike has about a 60-mile range and can carry quite a bit of cargo.  I wonder if a new trend will emerge with more people using bike trailers carrying larger tents and more equipment, etc.”
