Bradenton Circle #125

  • Weather was clear after a cold front the day before. Wind and light rain in the afternoon.
  • Five sectors had new leaders: Downtown, Braden River East, Eastside, Palma Sola Tidy Island, and Palma Sola South.
  • Of the 61 participants, 14 were new to the Bradenton CBC.
  • Twelve of the 14 sectors saw increased species count – five of those were double-digit increases: Southeast (19), Palma Sola-Tidy Island (15), Central (14), Bayshore (13), and Ellenton East (10).
  • Two sectors exceeded 100 species: Terra Ceia (112) and Ellenton East (107).
  • Two sectors saw fewer species than 2023, primarily due to loss of habitat caused by three hurricanes (Debbie, Helene and Milton). In addition, the Lena Rd Landfill continues to be closed to birders.
  • Reach out to your team members, especially those who were unable to participate this year. Start recruiting NOW for the 2025 CBC – Saturday, December 20, 2025
