Reading:

This week we focus on reviewing the targeted skill - Text Structures. Fri., 4/10- Students will show their understanding on a Text Structure Test. Blooket review in Google Classroom. Resource pages in student notebooks/folders.

LEAP Vocab Quiz #1 (1 - 13) = Thurs., 4/16 (study guide in ELA folder that students received a couple weeks ago)

Writing: We will review/prepare for a research simulation writing prompt. Thurs., 4/11 Students will read a text, analyze a prompt, and craft a written response. This exercise aims to simulate the time constraints of the LEAP assessment and develop their ability to generate responses under pressure.

HOMEWORK: Bellringer #31 — Due 4/17 (Counts as a minor grade each nine weeks.)

Read 20 mins nightly to work towards AR goal (minor grade)

This Week: continue Problems about lines, angles, points, line segments. TEST WEDNESDAY!

Green Fluency Folder- Multiplication Facts and Fluency Sheet. Please initial nightly. For a Grade. Students start with a 100%. 5 points will be deducted each week they are not completed. Many students are not completing fluency sheets.

i-Ready: I-ready is taken for a grade every week. Q3 has Started! Students all start out with a 100%, if they do not complete their required amount of lessons (2 or 3) each week, they lose 5 pts from their grade. I-ready is a Major Grade. ( Student Tracker, keep in yellow folder)

Review inner orbits are posted for students to practice for LEAP.

Suggestion for inner orbit practice, review 1 practice a week to keep information from past units fresh.

This week, we will begin our final chapter in Social Studies—Unit 6, Chapter 2: Where Did the Maya Go? This is a short chapter, and we plan to wrap it up by Wednesday, April 15.

The chapter test will be on Thursday, April 16, followed by our final performance task in class on Friday, April 17.

After that, we’ll begin our LEAP review!
