Considerations for PSEO

High School

PSEO

You are learning with your peers

You are learning with adults

Your classes are within your high school building. You know how to get there.

Your classes will be in different locations on a college campus. You need to figure out logistics of how to get there and back home.

Teachers approach you if they believe you need assistance. Sometimes teachers give extensions on due dates.

Professors typically expect you to initiate contact if you need assistance and only have specific office hours to meet with you. Usually no extensions on due dates.

Testing is frequent and covers small amounts of material. Second chances are frequent.

Testing is often infrequent and cumulative, covering large amounts of material. Many times, there are no second chances.
