How will SLC work? Here’s an overview:

  • March 17
    • Bring snack, medicines and luggage to CREST at 7:00AM
    • Leave PVHS at 12:00-12:30 and drive to Hotel - wear your 24-25 Green Hosa T-shirt and nice jeans/slacks
    • Check In, Have Dinner, Attend Opening Session 6PM (suit)
      • Eat Lunch BEFORE WE LEAVE CAMPUS
    • Some Competitions Begin at 4PM including all ATC Tests
    • 8:30PM AzHosa Sponsored Entertainment
    • Curfew 10:50 pm
  • March 18
    • Competitions and Workshops until 5PM
    • Team Dinner ~5:30
    • Recognition Session 7PM
    • AzHosa Sponsored Entertainment
  • March 19
    • Business Meeting 7:30AM, and Awards Ceremony 10am-11:30am
    • Stop for Lunch in Tucson, then return to PVHS - BRING $$

SLC Expectations

  • Know your schedule and appointment time. Download Conference App
  • Don’t miss your appointment! BE EARLY! (Min 15-30 minutes before scheduled)
  • Attend Workshops ALL Day on Tuesday other than your scheduled competition times. Professional Dress until 5PM. Not optional!
  • Never Alone - All students will have a PV Biosci buddy at ALL TIMES.
  • No one alone in your room - always with a roommate.
  • Coordinate with your partners at ALL TIMES and �check in with advisors ASAP at required times!

SLC Expectations

  • Academic Integrity is expected at all times
  • Professional dress when out of your room
  • Be early to all events, sessions, workshops (15-20 min)
  • People know CREST - Be sure to represent us well at ALL times!!!�

Roommates are assigned by advisors - as soon as your roommates are posted - discuss food or other allergies - do NOT bring items that your roommate cannot have.

Download the Hosa Dress Code

The suit/official uniform is required for three sessions and most competitions!

  1. Opening Session Monday evening;
  2. Recognition Tuesday evening and;
  3. Business Session/Awards Wednesday morning.

If you shoes are the wrong color, they won’t let you in! No tennis shoes - you must have closed-toe DRESS shoes.

HOSA Dress Code

If business attire:

  • Black or navy-blue suit (or the official Hosa Uniform-no gray or other colors)
  • White, closed-neck, tailored dress shirt (maroon or navy long tie)
  • A choice of knee-length skirt or slacks
  • Closed-toe navy blue or black shoes-no sandals (hose optional for women)
  • No white socks with your suit - black or navy socks to match!
  • Belt (blue or black)
  • Head covers that are required for religious purposes or to honor cultural tradition are allowed.

HOSA Dress Code

If clinical uniform or attire appropriate to the occupational area for skill events:

  • Scrubs, EMS attire, CERT attire
  • Khaki-style Pants with Polo-style Top
  • Clinical shoes or tennis shoes
  • Note: Shorts and flip-flops are not acceptable HOSA clinical attire.
  • In team events, all team members must be properly dressed.

Meals

  • Bring a shared snack 03/17 after 7:00AM. See letter/spreadsheet for details. We will have coolers available the morning we leave for juice, fruit, cream cheese etc.
  • Check the hotel restaurants’ menus before we leave to plan what you can eat and your budget. You need to EAT REAL FOOD Tuesday at lunch, not just goldfish crackers. You are responsible for your own lunch on Thursday!
  • Students are NOT allowed to order DoorDash/UberEats/Room Service etc. �No exceptions!
  • Team Meals

~03/18 pm TBD - Tentatively Chinese Food - We will email you a menu when we have selected a restaurant.

Please email Mrs. Landreville if your child has SEVERE food

allergies so that you can check the menu.

When You Win 1st Place!

We expect you to attend the governing board meeting for ~30-45 minutes to be recognized by the district!

The meeting is typically the first Governing Board meeting in May�(a Thursday) at 6:30PM

Arrive professionally dressed with your gold medal at 6:20PM! Parents are welcome and encouraged to attend and cheer on our winning students!

The Executive Board and Advisors are SO excited you are traveling to State Leadership Conference with us!

  1. Pay your $150 registration fee before break to PVHS Bookstore;
  2. Pay $5 per pre-registered ATC Test also
  3. Submit COMPLETE signed permission slip and ILC Commitment
  4. Bring $5 for housekeeping gratuity; will be collected at check-in
  5. Officer Pro-Tips?
  6. Read the Letter and ask us any questions!

OTC Meds must be provided by parents in a labeled ziplock bag for advisors

Students cannot have them in their possession-per PVUSD

Hosa is NOT Providing Lifeguards - No Pool time - No Exceptions!
