Aspire Gorham came together in 2018

External evaluator: Stepwise Data Research

-Survey questions were designed by Stepwise with feedback from the MELMAC/JMG team and Gorham staff

-Many of the questions were modified from surveys used in Nellie Mae’s work in Portland schools, with JMG serving as RSO

-The survey are implemented online by Gorham Schools

-The same survey will be given each year to measure changes over time

Stepwise analyze data for the other Aspire sites too: Bucksport, Skowhegan, and now Brewer

We gather data from seniors during marching practice each year (week before grad)

Participation information and perceptions

When it comes to student perceptions, it’s worth noting that we had a smaller sample size during the first two years (2019, 2020)

Since then we’ve gotten responses from 95%+
