ARRCCWA is a our regional “group” started in 2019 with a charter we adopted in May. The charter was sent to ARRCC National Committee, and they approved it in June.

Section I

Officers will be elected from ARRCCWA membership at annual elections. Officers shall serve a one-year term but may resign after a formal three-month notice to the ARRCC Management Committee. The officers of the organization shall be:

Together these four officers will be the Management Committee of ARRCCWA, along with several members at large agreed upon as stipulated in the charter.

ARRCCWA Projects:

1. Living the Change Workshops (expanded from ARRCC original, 2 so far, 3^rd in progress)
2. Prayers & Meditations for our Earth and UN Climate Change Conference COP 29 (an international Zoom meeting each Tuesday to influence the spirit of the COP meetings, 3^rd year now in progress)
3. Meeting on Forest Treatments (Bunbury, presentation and field trip by Chief Forester of WA SW)
4. Weekly Prayer Meetings for the Environment (Bunbury)
5. Multifaith Forum on Living With Climate Change (First one last year, second one this October focus on saving Sacred Earth)
6. Faiths at Climate Action Event (May this year where communities shared their activities and plans, will become a yearly event)
7. Faiths for Climate Justice (held events at 4 sites in Perth, one in Bunbury and one in Geraldton two years ago, four events this year)
8. Zoom forum three years ago with about 50 folks attending (introducing ARRCC and communities’ work)
9. Participating in other groups rallies (WA Parliament House, federal minister’s offices, etc.)
10. Meeting with politicians (Tracey Roberts for Pearce)
11. Talks and Representation (CCWA events, churches, university, talk by Helene at Doctors for the Environment, more)
