World’s Biggest Wonder

  • We all know death..but think it will not meet us and never plan death strategy.
  • Likewise most of people and Companies don’t see themselves as attractive targets for hackers. And never plan strategy to handle it.
  • We never accept that we have been breached. We learn this suddenly when data is lost of Police arrives our door in search of ,someone who we may not now.

Cyber space touches our daily lives

  • Cyberspace touches nearly every part of our daily lives through broadband networks, wireless signals, local networks, and the massive grids that power our nation.
  • Telecom is the backbone of all the critical business, such as banking, telecommunications, defense, power, aviations, transport etc..Needs dedicated strategy to make it safe
  • Defending against and defeating cyber attacks need combined efforts of both the public and private sectors, working to develop new technologies and new approaches, for maintaining real-time protection of their individual networks.
  • With most of the business using open source due to cost implications, the cyber threat not just becomes a reality but lethal for the business.

Cyber…Most Profitable

  • Cyber thieves who steal credit and debit card numbers are selling it for millions of dollars. (Thomas J Holt, Michigan State University criminologist and lead investigator}
  • On average, a batch of 50 stolen credit or debit cards can make a seller between about $250,000 and $1 million. Buyers can make between $2 million (if only 25 per cent of the cards worked) and nearly $8 million (if all cards worked).
  • In the past two years, there have been hundreds of data breaches involving customer information, some very serious like the Target breach in 2013.
