Social Emotional Goals

By the end of the 2025-2026 school year, teacher/student relationships and sense of belonging will increase by 3% from BOY to EOY.

During the 2025-2026 school year, the minor and major behavior incident data entered in Educator Handbook will be analyzed quarterly to identify the social skills that need to be addressed with Vista students.

During the 2025-2026 school year, Vista will maintain daily student attendance of 93% or above and reducing the percent of tardiness by 3 %.

Social Emotional Tool

A copy of this feelings chart has been provided in your data folder, it matches the one we use in the classroom. This tool helps students recognize and name their emotions, which is the first step in building emotional intelligence. By practicing at home and at school, students learn to express how they are feeling and communicate their needs in a healthy way. When children can share their emotions, parents and teachers are better able to support them, guide problem-solving, and celebrate their growth. Working together, we can help students develop the lifelong skills of self-awareness, empathy, and resilience.

Attendance / Tardies

Regular attendance is key to your child’s success. Each day in school builds learning, friendships, and confidence. When students miss, they miss important lessons and connections. By making attendance a priority, you’re helping your child grow, stay on track, and build habits that last a lifetime.

Let the “Tardy Party” begin..

Why Being on Time Matters

When students are tardy, they miss important instructions, morning routines, and the start of lessons. Even a few minutes late can leave them feeling behind, distracted, or unprepared for the day. Over time, frequent tardiness add up, causing gaps in learning, lower confidence, and lost opportunities to participate. Arriving on time helps children start the day calm, connected, and ready to learn.

This year Vista is celebrating the classes with no tardies. For every 10 days of students coming to school on time, the class will earn a reward party. Please get your student to school, ON TIME!!
