Background and Motivation

Traditional methods of starting automobiles have been replaced as the era of electronics has arrived, and convenience is accompanied by risks. The time it takes for car theft has been shortened to minutes by intercepting proximity key signals.

DEFEND has designed this anti-theft device by integrating a fingerprint module with an engine starting device, making it compatible with both traditional and electronic gearshift vehicles, as well as electric cars. It maintains the original vehicle's Push Start operation convenience and incorporates an independent anti-theft mechanism to prevent eavesdropping.

  • Unlocking when getting in the vehicleAfter entering the vehicle, lightly press the fingerprint module for authentication. Once the authentication is successful, you can then press the engine start button to start the engine.
  • Locking when exiting the vehicleBefore exiting the vehicle, please turn off the engine and once again lightly press the fingerprint module for fingerprint authentication. When authentication is successful, the engine start button will be locked and cannot be pressed.

※This product can be designed to automatically lock or manually lock based on customer preferences.

This product is integrated with the original vehicle's Push Start, mounted above it. Removal of this product and restoring the original Push Start to its original position is all that is required, without causing damage to the original vehicle's related mechanisms or circuits.

Disassembly should be carried out by a professional technician, and the repair process typically takes approximately 30-50 minutes.

※In the event of simultaneous failures of the fingerprint module and the backup unlocking device, forced unlocking can be performed using the disassembly of the electronically controlled mechanism.
