Use when there is a eHoldings compatible API for your knowledgebase, and all resources you wish to manage in Folio ERM are described in that single knowledgebase

Currently the only KB that supports harvesting is GOKb (https://gokb.org), although we have proof-of-concept harvesting for KB+ which is used in the UK (https://www.kbplus.ac.uk/kbplus7/)

To get the this working with other KBs would require:

the KB vendor/supplier to implement API to support harvesting and implementation of a software adaptor in Agreements to work with the API
Development of automated export/import routines using an agreed file format for the data (e.g. adopting KBART automation guidelines)
Manual or semi-automated export/import routines with support for exporting data from a KB, converting it to a format supported by Agreements (or writing a new software adaptor for the file format in Agreements) and importing it

In this scenario the control over the lists of resources available (e.g. journals/packages/databases/books) and descriptions of resources is partially given over to Folio, and knowledgebase information from multiple data sources can be combined. Some knowledgebase focussed functionality maybe delivered within Folio

Example: American Medical Association Journals

Agreement/License runs from January 2018-December 2023
Annual payment, with option to cancel up to 30 days before the end of the current year
Access from 2013-present for the JAMA journals, and 1998-present for other journals (or their earliest publication date if that's later)
Agreement includes post-cancellation access
