  • The students seated along the aisle will be called by the teacher to act as representatives of each row.
  • The other members of the class will be instructed to feel free and make some noise. (Disruptive noise will not be tolerated.)

Activity 1

  • The following instructions will be given by the teacher to the representatives:

    • Tell the third person in his/her row to approach anyone wearing eyeglasses.
    • Ask that person wearing eyeglasses to go to the board and draw an apple.
    • That same person who drew an apple will have to relay the instructions back to the teacher.
    • Whoever gets the correct instructions first will be declared the winner.

  • The teacher will ask the students to go to their previous groups and prepare a three-minute presentation of their favorite scene from a movie, TV series, or stage play.
  • The chosen scene should show how one or more communication barriers lead to communication breakdown.
  • The students will be given 7 minutes to prepare and organize.
