I received my Bachelor’s Degree and teaching credential from California Baptist University and my Master’s Degree from Grand Canyon University.

I have been teaching for 32 years.

I am engaged and have 2 children, Jacob 30 and

Annual Information Update

• Log into Parent Connect, find the red letters at the top and update your information

Student Arrival and Dismissal

• School begins promptly at 7:40 AM.
• Students should not arrive on campus before 7:15 AM.
• Breakfast is available to all students. Kindergarten students eat breakfast at the start of school.
• Dismissal is at 2:05 pm M, T, Th., Fri.
• Dismissal is at 12:35 pm on Wednesdays starting 8/19/26.

-If someone other than yourself will be picking up your child, please be sure that they are on your child’s emergency card.

-If your child normally rides the bus, and you need to pick them up instead, you must call the office to let them know about the change in transportation.

Bus Riders

• Please make sure your child has his/her bus pass EVERY DAY

- Your child will not be allowed on the bus without a pass.

​

• An adult (listed on the emergency card) MUST be at the bus stop to pick up your child.

​

• If transportation after school changes the day of, please call the office and they will notify me.
• Class Dojo messages don’t always go through and I might not see the message before dismissal.

Attendance

• Attendance is crucial!
• Missing a couple days puts your child far behind.
• If your child is absent, please send in a note or notify the office.
• Any work missed from being absent will be sent home when students return to school.
• If you need to request independent study, please give advanced notice to give me time to prepare work for your child.

Cell Phones and Electronic Devices

• To ensure that district schools remain focused on academics, positive social interactions and to reduce unnecessary distractions, the use of personal cell phones, earbuds, smartwatches, and other smart devices is strictly prohibited during the school day at elementary schools and middle schools.

Homework!

​

• Homework is essential because it helps your child develop responsible habits and provides him/her with the opportunity to reinforce or extend skills learned in school.

​

• Students will be assigned weekly homework.
• Assigned on Mondays and due on Fridays

​

• Homework should be interactive between the student and parent. Students should not complete homework without parent support.

​

• All homework should be completed in pencil and all writing should be done by the student.

• Students will be provided with a homework folder.
• Homework folders need to be brought to school everyday.
• Please check your child’s folder and backpack daily and sign the Parent Communication page (calendar).

• Each child will receive 3 report cards this year.
• Standards based report cards

Students will be graded on the individual standards that were taught during the trimester.

the week of October 26th. Please sign up for a time.

Reminder…

• Please make sure your child is able to unzip, unbutton, and undo their belts in order to use the restroom.
• Please write your child’s name on ALL of their personal belongings (sweaters, jackets, backpacks, lunch boxes, water bottles, etc.)
• We recommend that you send a small, healthy snack everyday with your child to eat during recess. Please make sure your child knows the difference between a snack and a meal/lunch.
• Don’t forget to include a spoon or fork if needed.

• We love to celebrate birthdays!

• Birthday celebration treats will be limited to small treats such as store-bought cookies, mini cupcakes, popsicles, or donuts.
• No pizza, or other food items.

Llegada y salida de estudiantes

¡La asistencia es fundamental!

Faltar un par de días hace que su hijo se retrase considerablemente.

Si su hijo se ausenta, por favor envíe una nota o avise a la oficina.

Las tareas no realizadas debido a la ausencia se enviarán a casa cuando los alumnos regresen a la escuela.

Si necesita solicitar un programa de estudio independiente, por favor avíseme con antelación para que tenga tiempo de preparar el material para su hijo.

Teléfonos celulares y dispositivos electrónicos

Para garantizar que las escuelas del distrito se mantengan enfocadas en el ámbito académico y en las interacciones sociales positivas, así como para reducir las distracciones innecesarias, queda estrictamente prohibido el uso de teléfonos celulares personales, auriculares, relojes inteligentes y otros dispositivos inteligentes durante la jornada escolar en las escuelas de nivel primaria y secundaria.

Tarea

​

La tarea es esencial porque ayuda a su hijo/a desarrollar hábitos responsables y le brinda la oportunidad de reforzar o ampliar las habilidades aprendidas en la escuela.

• Los estudiantes recibirán tareas semanales.
• Las tareas se asignan los lunes y deben entregarse los viernes.

​

• La tarea debe ser interactiva entre el estudiante y sus padres.

​

• Toda la tarea debe completarse a lápiz y el estudiante debe escribirla.

​

• Los estudiantes recibirán una carpeta de tareas.
• Las carpetas de tareas deben traerse a la escuela todos los días.
• Por favor, revisen la carpeta y la mochila de su hijo/a diariamente y firmen la página de Comunicación con los Padres (calendario).

• Cada niño recibirá 3 boletas de calificaciones este año.

Se evaluará a los estudiantes según los estándares individuales enseñados durante el trimestre.

Recordatorio…

• Por favor, asegúrese de que su hijo pueda abrirse, desabrocharse y desabrocharse el cinturón para ir al baño.

Celebraciones de cumpleaños

¡Nos encanta celebrar los cumpleaños!

Es necesario coordinar los detalles con el maestro o la maestra con antelación.

Debido a las limitaciones de tiempo del horario lectivo, las celebraciones se limitarán a 15 minutos.

Los bocadillos para la celebración se limitarán a opciones pequeñas, como galletas compradas en tienda, minicupcakes, paletas heladas o donas.

No se permite pizza ni otros alimentos.
