LISTEN WITH AN OPEN MIND
Be curious.
Try to see the world through participant’s eyes.
Don’t dismiss or judge participants.
Be prepared to hear things you may not like or agree with.
Give more weight to past experiences and attitudes than predicted behaviors.
Focus on objective observations—not conclusions or solutions.
