Day 1: Our Caterpillars Arrived

Caterpillars have all the food they need to to grow in the jar. They are tiny and slow at first, but they will start eating growing quickly.

Day 4: Our caterpillars are growing so fast.

Day 5: They are moving, eating and making webbing.

Day 7: When a caterpillar hangs in a J shape from the top it is getting ready to form its chrysalis.

Day 8: We have our first caterpillar making it’s chrysalis.

Day 9: All of the caterpillars are at the top getting ready to form their chrysalis.

Day 10: All caterpillars have formed their chrysalis. We will wait about 7-10 days while the caterpillars are rapidly changing into butterflies.
