Warm Fuzzies

  • Sold 228 bags
  • Every teacher received a bag of 25 to give one to every child
  • Each bag sold for $5
  • Profit of $790 that goes directly towards purchasing shirts and pizza for field day

Made over 6,000 fuzzies!!!!

  • Karen Shugart (Kindergarten parent) works for Columbia Gas
  • She volunteered 18 hours of her time this year
  • Columbia Gas donated $360 to us an an employer contribution for her giving back to the community

How it Works

  • Must have attended at least 1 PTO meeting this school year BEFORE the next meeting
  • Nominations (you can nominate yourself) and voting take place next meeting 04/08/19
  • Shadow of duties during month of June
  • Hand off on July 1st
  • Treasurer submits tax return and hands over books by 08/15

What You Would Do - President

  • Create agenda and moderate PTO/Board meetings
  • Attend morning teacher meeting (once a month)
  • Coordinate school events with the Principal and Vice Principal
  • Review and approve fund requests
  • Recruit event chairs
  • Assist with Tax return
  • All other board functions if seat is not filled or member is unable to fulfill

  • Support event chairs and if necessary, chair events
  • All President functions along with the President or in lieu of in the event the President is unable to fulfill a function

  • Manage the ledger
  • Reimburse for PTO related expenses
  • Assist with purchasing any PTO or teacher budgeted items
  • Report on the account and budget during meetings
  • Prepare cash boxes for events
  • Collect money from school after events
  • Make deposits
  • Submit taxes

  • Take meeting minutes for board and PTO meetings
  • Document all attendees
  • Keep bylaws current
  • Post all records to Google Drive and website
