The Application Process

​

  1. Read all scholarship criteria carefully and thoroughly. (Not sure if you qualify?

Let the committee decide or check with a reliable person who has experience

with scholarship applications.)

  1. If you qualify, note that one and its URL on your list.
  2. Check the deadlines!
  3. Prioritize applications by deadline and award amounts.
  4. Obtain unofficial transcript through your Student Center Portal. Free.
  5. If a letter of recommendation is required, send out professional emails to professors, administrators, community leaders, etc. (Avoid: “Hey, professor”, etc.)

7. Do NOT procrastinate. Get started TODAY.
