What is it?

Watch D.O.G.S. (Dads Of Great Students) is an innovative father involvement, educational initiative of the National Center for Fathering.

Purpose:

To provide positive male role models for the students, demonstrating by their presence that education is important.

Who are the D.O.G.S.?

Watch D.O.G.S. are fathers, grandfathers, uncles, and other father-figures who volunteer for at least one day each year at an official WATCH D.O.G.S. school.

What will the Watch D.O.G.S. do?

Greet students as they enter the school building

Circulate During Breakfast

Introduce yourself on the morning announcements

Visit classrooms

  • assist with lessons
  • participate in lessons
  • pull out groups for academic enrichment

Assist in the cafeteria

How can I sign up?

  • Sign up as “interested” by visiting the link in Mr. Piątek’s Friday email and completing the information requested (it will also be located on our school website)
  • After D.O.G.S. are verified, they will receive a link by e-mail to visit volunteerspot.com and complete registration and sign up for a date to visit WBO
  • Watch D.O.G.S. will begin visiting WBO in mid September
