The “Department of Mathematics” of Raiganj Surendranath Mahavidyalaya started its journey in the year 2007 with the mission to provide an environment where students can learn and become competent users of mathematics and mathematical application. Moreover, the department contributes to the development of students as mathematical thinkers, enabling them to become life long learners, to continue to grow in their chosen professions, and to function as productive citizens.

About The Department

~ The Department of Mathematics was started in the year 2007 with B.Sc. General Course and later, the Honours courses was introduced in Mathematics Department .

~ Departmental workload – 90 hours per week (for direct teaching) + 20 hours per week (official and other activities).
