Clasp - a device that holds parts of something together; to hook something up
A hair barrette are sometimes called hair clasp.

Depart – when someone or something goes away
My friend will depart for New York next week.
Mr. Brown is departing after 20 years of service.
Can you think of someplace you might depart from everyday? What is an antonym for depart?
Fierce - violent; when someone or something is wild or savage
There are many fierce animals in the jungle.
The puppy was scolded in a fierce voice for wandering into the street.
The large dog looked fierce but he was gentle.
What is something else that might be described as being fierce? Antonym of fierce!
Journey - a long trip taken by someone; a passage from one place to another
If you are going on a journey you will need to pack your bags!
Is there someplace you would like to journey to?
I have been wanting to go to Mount Rushmore but since it’s in South Dakota, that would be quite the journey.
Observe - to watch someone or something with close attention; to see
Hoping to learn, I observed as my Aunt Lois crocheted the blanket.
The cat observes the birds each time they come to the feeder; I hope he doesn’t scare them away.
�Mrs. Rael comes to observe our class from time to time.
Superb – when someone or something is the best of quality
The new restaurant is known for its superb and decadent desserts.
Do you see the word super in the word� superb? Get it, super and best?
Treasure - a collection of valuable objects; something worth a lot
The dive team recovered the sunken ship, and was surprised �to find it had treasure trunk in it.
Thinking the trunk would be full of gold and jewels �they were ecstatic, but there was no treasure to be found.
They had a great time on the trip, so they will always treasure those memories.
What is something you consider to be a treasure?
Wisdom – when someone has knowledge & and good sense; usually the result of experience
If you have wisdom, people may say you are wise!
Some say with age, comes wisdom.
Elderly people have lots of wisdom to share.
