  • Site Security: wear badge, carry keys, don’t allow piggybacking at gates or doors, visitor procedures.
  • SAFE buildings: In case of wildfires, be aware that some Lab buildings are designated as SAFE buildings (built of steel or concrete, have interior sprinkler systems, defensible spaces). They are marked with bright blue signs.

    • This stands for project ID/activity ID. It’s the code that is used to charge costs at LBNL.
    • PID is 6 digits, AID is 3 digits
    • Example might be 101137-001
    • Supervisor can provide

  • The Lab’s downtown shuttle stop on the Blue route has a permanent home on the east side of Shattuck Avenue in front of Jupiter restaurant and the BofA and directly across the street from the downtown Berkeley BART station. The stop is shared with AC Transit.
