How to Calculate Your Off-Schedule Salary Increases

District will provide the following increases according to the 2019-2022 CBA:

  1. Retroactive bonus pay (off-schedule) for 2019-2020
    1. 1.50% for Full-timers - Paid in February 2021
    2. 1.00% for Adjuncts - Paid in March 2021
  2. Bonus pay (off-schedule) for 2020-2021
    • 1.00% for Full-timers - Paid in August 2021
    • 1.00% for Adjuncts - Paid in August 2021
  3. Bonus pay (off-schedule) for 2021-2022
    • 1.00% for Full-timers - Pain in August 2022
    • 1.00% for Adjuncts - Paid in August 2022

What We Have Gotten So Far - Retro 1.50%

In February 2021, full-time faculty got a 1.50% retroactive, off-schedule salary payment for the 2019-2021 academic year.

How to calculate from the old pay scale:

In 2019-20, you were on Step 24, Class IV = $92,119 x 1.50% = $1,381.79

Total retroactive payment for academic year is = $1,381.79

Note that you still have to pay into STRS and Fed + State tax*

What We Have Gotten So Far - Retro 1.00%

In Mar. 2021, Adjunct faculty got a 1% retro check for the months of Aug. 2019 - July 2020.

How to calculate from the old pay scale:

In 2019-20, you were on Step 3, Range 3 = $51.23 x no. of hours worked x 1% = $

*This is where your old pay stubs may come in handy as each month you may have worked a different number of hours, such as in the winter and summer months.

Example: In 2019-2020 - $51.23 x 432 hours* x 1% = $221.31

Total retroactive payment for 13 months = $221.31

* Taught two 3-unit lecture classes in fall 2019, winter 2020, spring 2020, Summer 2020*

What We Have Yet to Get - Off-Schedule Bonuses

  1. Bonus pay (off-schedule) for 2020-2021
    1. 1.00% for Full-timers - Due to be paid in August 2021
    2. 1.00% for Adjuncts - Due to be paid in August 2021
  2. Bonus pay (off-schedule) for 2021-2022
    • 1.00% for Full-timers - Due to be paid in August 2022
    • 1.00% for Adjuncts - Due to be paid in August 2022

What We Have Yet to Get: Off-Schedule 1% for 2020-21

In August 2021, full-time faculty will get a 1% off-schedule salary payment for the 2020-2021 academic year.

How to calculate from the new pay scale:

In 2020-21, you were on Step 25, Class IV = $94,493 x 1% = $944.93

Total payment for academic year is = $944.93

Note that you still have to pay into STRS and Fed + State tax*

What We Have Yet to Get: Off-Schedule 1% for 2020-21

In Aug. 2021, Adjunct faculty got a 1% off-schedule payment for the months of Aug. 2020 - July 2021.

How to calculate from the new pay scale:

In 2020-21, you were on Step 4, Range 3 = $56.57 x no. of hours worked x 1% = $

*This is where your old pay stubs may come in handy as each month you may have worked a different number of hours, such as in the winter and summer months.

Example: In 2020-2021 - $56.57 x 432 hours* x 1% = $244.38

Total payment for 13 months = $244.38

* Taught two 3-unit lecture classes in fall 2020, winter 2021, spring 2021, Summer 2021*
