• In this class we are going to debate whether the use of Facebook is good or bad for society and especially for teenagers.
• First we will analyze what Facebook is and a short review of its history.
• Second we will meet the panelists who will participate in this debate as well as their opinions and points of view.
• finally we will see a graph that will show us what is the result of this debate.

What FACEBOOK is?

• Facebook is an American online social media and social networking service owned by Meta Platforms. Founded in 2004 by Mark Zuckerberg with fellow Harvard College students and roommates, its name comes from the face book directories often given to American university students. Membership was initially limited to Harvard students, gradually expanding to other North American universities and, since 2006, anyone over 13 years old can use it. And today It is the most downloaded and the most famous mobile app since the 2010.

• I'm against it.

According to my experience Facebook can lead to addiction and make you spend too many hours a day online. This could cause bad marks at school, for example you might forget to do your homework.

Samantha Jones

• I´m in favor to.

In my opinion Facebook can be really cool to share pictures. from your holiday or upload videos from your last party so that your friends list can always see what you are doing.

• I´m against Facebook.

Personally, I think Sharing personal information or media in facebook can be dangerous when stolen and used against you.

• I´m against.

I’d like to point out that too many friends make that relationships can get too superficial. It is something that sadly I had to learn in school with those who were supposed to be my friends.

I believe that Facebook allows teens to keep up with friends and make new ones. Social media can increase a child's self-esteem and help them feel less isolated

DEBATE VERDICT

• As you can see the result of this debate leans towards the comments against, so this time we have to declare ourselves against the use of Facebook because it can become more dangerous than good in the use of our society.
