Purpose

The CSOE Advisory Board plays an active role in practices leading to CSOE’s decision-making process. Bi-Annual meetings collect feedback from the board members, which may impact program-specific changes. The Advisory Board allows for transparency, accountability leading to informed decision-making by CSOE to improve the success of the programs and students. Joint townhall meetings with the various schools and programs, Admissions Department, and key CSOE Faculty as well as communities of practice provide a consistent venue for collecting program data and ensure that programs remain current and effective for the modern school environment.

Programs Overview

  • California Teaching Credentials:
    • Multiple-Subject Teaching
    • Single-Subject Teaching
    • Education Specialist, Mild/Moderate Support Needs
  • All course are online and asynchronous, offered through Canvas, run every 8 weeks
  • Completion of Program: Minimum of 1 Year (five or six terms) depending on program
  • Intern and Student Teacher Pathways
  • Credential stand-alone or combined with a Master's degree
