you could take real world advantage of digital transactions. i buy a sandwich. then, youre shadowing me, i throw the wrapping over my shoulder: cpnseuqence opf my transaction of environmental and social cost. what would happen if you gave it back to a person. give it back to the person and build a new way of thinking about something else.

israel country was the first country to do vaccinations. and the reason they did that was bc israel gave pfizer open access to health records.

pharmaceuticals: i call up the doctor and make an appointment. doctor writes it on a piece of paper, pharmacy says do you pay for your prescriptions (if you dont you have to be elderly/disabled/etc). no payment at the point of distribution for those people. thats an interesting system to analyze and think about. difficult thing to research because you need to talk to doctors and nurses, but wellness is easier because it’s less medical. difference between 20 pound massage and 50 pound massage (what he does really hurts, weird transaction going on).

food: i eat cake: in short term is good, long term is bad. facebook status update: digital.

The way cookies work: you like this, so you might like this. What is a more meaningful output than the spotify?

In any transaction now, so many layers of value and advantage being taken. Where are you, what are you doing when you transact, how far away are you from a person, how instant is it, it’s very hidden. Unpack it. How could you do something similar where you extract a value that is valuable to you?

Users data, facebook mine that, analysts, to politicians. Complex system. How much data can be mined?

Think of it from a human perspective, experiential POV; super layered but what might be a digital transaction.

Try transferring money between you, try to find out what’s happened on the way. What other kinds of transactions are there, how can you extract value from other things, banks use a lot of infrastructure to extract value. Data points of student going through uni is 4000: prevent program, checking out if people are being radicalized, some of it is monetized, the others, in a university setting, is a major political foothold. Bring it back to yourselves, and real people in places. How can you piggyback on them. Simplify.

People lends cards to each other. That’s illegal, but there are little benefits. Extracting value but misusing it. Little things that are worth scrutinizing.

Look at it from a criminal point of view. Where can I extract value from? Bring it home, impact it to your life, that’s a rich space.

Knowing and not knowing, Netflix is shared. Would be people be prepared to waive their rights if I trust them. Trust is very important.

Ethical element: can you extract from people who are exploitative.
